Today we are giving our picks for the best 3 snacks, dinning locations, and attractions for Hollywood Studios! We found that at Hollywood studios it is tough to find snacks that stand out and are also unique to this park. I think we made some solid choices that we think you will enjoy if you give them a try. Also, we ended up picking some of the same things for our dinning and attraction choices but not in the same order. Let us know if you agree or disagree with our choices!

 

In this episode we talk about the largely unsuccessful Disney property known as Disney Quest. This started out in the late 90’s as the next big Disney indoor theme park that would be in major cities across the globe. However, only two were ever built…One in Chicago and one at Walt Disney World. The only one to last more than two years was the one located in Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs) at Walt Disney World. Jon and I talk about our experiences with the attractions here and talk about what could have been if some of the attractions were updated.

What would you do on a Walt Disney World vacation if money was not a consideration? I’m sure that we’ve all pondered this question. Today Jon and I give our itineraries for our no limits Disney vacation. The only parameters that we placed on this scenario was that it could only be at Walt Disney World and an 8 day 7 night vacation. We go through each day of our no limits vacation and tell you exactly what we would splurge on. What would you do on your no limits vacation Disney vacation?

In Today’s episode we start off by talking about Animal Kingdom’s 20th Anniversary!   Jon and I then try our hand at “armchair Imagineering.” We decided to take a list of all rides, shows, and attractions and Walt Disney World and using a random number generator we would pick something from this list at random and decide what enhancements or outright changes we would make to that attraction. It turns out that imagineering is harder than it looks. Who would’ve thought?

Today we discuss the best dark rides at Walt Disney World. Jon compiled a list of dark rides (past and present) that we go through and determine which ones should be considered the top 5 of all time. We begin with a list of 23 attractions and whittle it down to 5. We both unanimously agree on which attraction is our number one dark ride of all time. Which one do you think it is? Today we begin our walk-through of Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We talk about the rides, attractions, shows, dinning and shopping in the Hollywood Boulevard and Echo Lake areas. We start were we left off by going from the Liberty square side and working our way past Cinderella Castle. We talk about the current attractions and the past attractions that have been in each location of Fantasyland. Next week we go into the Fantasyland expansion and give our thoughts on what is called “New Fantasyland…”

What are the best places in Walt Disney World to take a break? When it gets hot and you have been walking all day you need a place to stop and cool off for a few minutes. That’s why in this episode Jon and I discuss some of our favorite places to stop and take a break. We break it down by park and in each park we give some suggestions for locations where you can take a break as well as attractions that are good for getting some cool air and a place to sit. What are your favorite places to take a break?

The crowds at Walt Disney World can be a lot to deal with. In this episode, Jon and I give our tips for avoiding the crowds. We discuss having a plan in place, using the park hours to your advantage, how to navigate the parks when it is busy, and the best times of year to visit.

We finish out the year having a discussion about the Fast Pass Plus system at Walt Disney World. We give our overall thoughts about it and go through each park and talk about which selections we would make when the most sought after Fast Passes are not available.

Today’s episode is part 3 of Jon’s trip report from his Disney Cruise/Walt Disney World vacation. Jon walks us through his final day at sea and goes over the various activities that are available on a Day at Sea on a Disney Cruise. Next he talks about his experience at The Beach Club Villas as well as some dinning reviews at EPCOT. On the Last day of his trip Jon talks about riding Flight of Passage and gives his review of the attraction. He concludes his trip report with an experience he had with the customer service at the Beach Club that included an ambulance ride over to Celebration hospital. Tune in for the details.

Jon is back from his Walt Disney World/Disney Cruise vacation. Today we talk through the first few days of his trip which started with a day at the Magic Kingdom including the Christmas Party. They locations are spread across the country and any one of them could have changed the course of events the lead to the Walt Disney company purchasing land in central Florida. This may seem like a strange topic but hear us out. We started thinking about distinct sounds and smells that remind us of Walt Disney World and a lot of things came to mind. Some of them are things that we have associated with Disney from our childhood and others are more recent. Disney has done such a good job of creating an atmosphere for the resort hotels, the parks and attractions that we can immediately think of Disney when we encounter a sound or smell that is similar to them in our everyday lives.
